Game doesn't work anymore

new update when

(+1)

you should add the suika-game tag to your game Top games tagged Suika Game - itch.io

GOLD GUY UNLOCKED WOO (there can't possibly be more combinations after this, right?)

As already mentioned by others, the Linux version works nicely, thank you for providing us with it! I'm not familiar with other Suika game, so this one is my only exposure to it. The faces are really funny, they made me smile!

(+1)

How did you change the "play" button to say "jame?

(+1)

Custom noun in the game publishing page for itch

(+1)

Change the custom noun part of the publishing page to whatever you want.

in the web version, for me some of the marbles don't load/are seemingly invisible, and sometimes I will accidently match the invisible ones. this is on classic mode.

will u make android version ?

Might've encountered a small bug on the Spooky mode in v1.2.4: when the switcher is activated (pebble becomes "bound") it may behave abnormally, like not pushing the other pebbles enough (overlaying them). See the screenshot below, on the bottom right.

(+1)

And yeah, it was fixed once the pebble became unbound again. So I think it happens when the switcher is activated but then pebble is modified (grows or shrinks) while still being bound.

Can you put Pebble Jame on Portmaster? Would love to play this on my anbernic device.

(+1)

Heck yes, it was fun! And definitely not easy on v1.2.4. Thank you for such a great and polished game :)

(+1)

And here's a score I found on Twitter (by @ssaarroo9977). Three golden, impressive! I was close to that :D

Okay, this is my latest record, I need a break :D
Man, you should never build towers out of pebbles. It's too easy to lose while the tower becomes taller.

Great game. I feel like its the best suika game version. Though how about making the pebbles more more aka being lighter? Right now they don't move much after being placed, so there is little room for comebacks or manipulating them. Could be a thing for "slippery pebbles" mode

(+2)

Great Tetris style game with different play modes. Can confirm it works fine on Mac (10.15.7). Is there any way I can pay for this game?

(+2)

It's a Hololive fangame and there's a rule from Cover (company of Hololive) that prohibits creators from earning money based off of the members of Hololive. Due to this, all Hololive fangames will stay free of charge.

Hi, many thanks for letting me know.

Cheers PatchSO1967.

(+1)

On Mac, all other game modes besides classic and spooky crash the game

How does it crash? immediately upon loading the level or does something happen before it crashes?

It crashes immediately when trying to load the level. I forgot speedrun also works as well. I did just test on 1.2.4, I was using 1.2.2 before. Shallow, and Scoop are the issue.

Also turns out spooky mode crashes the game when the special items hit pebbles

(+1)

Strange, I'm also playing on Mac and I have no such issues

Might be worth specifying what MacOS version you are on. I’m using MacOS 10.15 and latest version of PJ works fine for me. Good luck.

(1 edit)

I am on MacOS Monterey 12.7, on a M1 Macbook Pro if that helps. I also tested on a family member's M1 Macbook Air running Sanoma (14.1), and it has the exact same crashing issue.

I'm not sure if it'd help, but I can give you the report that my macbook generates when I click report, it creates a form I can copy.

Sure, it could potentially help. Just make sure to erase any personal information that might be in the form with file path names or such

Linux version runs flawlessly
EDIT: I wanna add that the laugh sfx for the joker pebble in spooky mode should be changed. It's quite lengthy and it can get quite obnoxious hearing it after a while. I suggest a short laugh (better if it's a laugh from Biboo or any of the Advent members, though that's just me).

(+1)

Linux version works great on Steam Deck!

(+1)

Who does the laughter voice on the Spooki Mode?

It's just a copyright free laugh https://opengameart.org/content/maniacal-laughter-pack-1

I see. I was wondering, since Bijou couldn't pinpoint who would've laughed like that. Maybe consider using one of the other Holomem laughs, if you think they could fit?

(1 edit)

Yeah, it's just a matter of finding a good voice clip without stream BGM getting in the way

(+1)

Oh this is fun and if you can please make it available for mobile (PS biboo is playing it RN)

Maybe this mode needs a little bit of balancing lmao

Hey there! Been having a lot of fun with this game, but I've run into a problem. Today for some reason the game will not finish loading to the main menu. I see the Godot splash screen, then it goes to a blank stone background and never finishes loading, so I can't seem to play anymore. I tried running it in Admin mode, no change. It's not crashing, I can move my cursor around in game. I'm on Windows 10 and I usually resize to play it in windowed mode with no issue. I played it yesterday or the day before just fine.

Edit: I've been playing with the 1.1.0 version. I just now noticed there's an updated version, so I downloaded that it seems to be running fine so far.

Wow i think this is my favorite version of Suika game! I can tell there's a lot of love put into this jame. The physics feel really good.

The Linux version runs just  fine for me.

idk if its intentional or not, but when you start it from a terminal, it prints statements like "mouse over: AnimatedButton" and "get new ball" It doesn't affect anything, but just something i noticed.

Really good job with this project!

(1 edit) (+1)

Got a problem; the game starts in fullscreen and there's nothing displayed. Like a complete black screen for some reason. I remember downloading this and it ran fine.

And even when in windowed, any other window sizes than the one given will give a black screen

Is this on the Windows version? and the game works in the original size fine, but when you try to change the window size then the whole game just becomes black?

(1 edit)

Yep, on the windows version. And not sure if it matters but I'm Windows 10 with a 2560x1600 screen

I got the same problem here, you solved ?

(+1)

Went to settings menu to select fullscreen.
No "Return to main menu" button. Became trapped forever.

RIP

Not sure if Glitch, or just oversight, but either way, something didn't work.

The menu button (esc, M, start) will exit from the menu. An exit button for mouse is going to be added soon!

When pebbles squeeze together, they can lift even the biggest of rocks

Believe in yourself, pebbles!

(+1)

I noticed that the pebbles are starting to have rough edges on lower screen resolutions (my second monitor is 1366x768 but bigger than my main monitor). Please fix it! Other than that, it's still a great game! One of the highest quality Hololive fangames to date in my opinion!

(+1)

I'm having a lot of fun with this! Overall, everything is great, I love the shallow music and theme, and scoop is fun, but there's one thing that feels wrong to me....

THE BIG BOI

He's super big, but he weighs like a feather. When I'm playing shallow, he'll get touched by a tiny one, and he'll jump a little out of bounds, and if the bottom fills up, he get's nudged upwards by like one pixel and I'm screwed. It's not that big of a deal, but it kinda feels like the fruit space program, just something not working right.

Aside from that though, this is fantastic!!

(+3)

This is my favorite fan iteration on the fruits game to-date. I really enjoy the heavier physics (no more Suika Space Program), the sound design, the soundtrack, and the designs. It's really cute! Minor nitpick: the "speedrun" mode really should be called "time attack" since it's competing for highest score with a time limit, not trying to reach a set goal with a stopwatch (e.g.: 2000 points as fast as possible), which would be more an actual speedrun. Which could be a fun addition as a separate mode all its own to record how fast you can make certain breakpoints - like timing how fast to 500 points, 750, 1000, etc.

(+1)

can this game record the whole playing process?that will be good

Deleted 89 days ago

luckily it's just scores and settings, so not too hard to transfer to new versions!

Deleted 89 days ago

For the browser version I'm not sure tbh, the engine automatically handles how browser data gets stored so I can't guarantee it won't get wiped.

nice rock game :)

(+2)

Yo nice game, i was just expecting just another suika game clone but this one is special for sure! This is like my new Tetris now lol i hope you make a android port someday

(+2)

Alright, I gave all game modes a try and I really enjoyed it!

Realy nice music selection and satisfying sound effects. Biboo celebrating every once in a while is also a nice touch.

I also like the input feedback on the bottom of the screen, highlighting what key was pressed.

Really solid presentation too!

As a Godot beginner, I'm also having a lot of fun trying to figure out how each little thing was implemented in the engine.

Great game!

(+1)

It would be much appreciated if we could play with the mouse in future updates. Ty for the game.

(+1)

mouse has now been added!

(+2)

This is so cool! not only the tipical suika game but also has more game modes and voice effect!!!! hands down, the best "suika game" ever .

(+2)

I love the bgm you used in the shallow gamemode, may I know the source of it?

(+1)(-1)

Also good job! The artstyle and sound effects are awesome :D

That track is from Ovani's Ambient Music Pack Vol. 1
